What is a FLOWER CSA?

‘Community Supported Agriculture’
A Flower CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) is a program that allows consumers to purchase a share of our local flower farm's seasonal harvest. Similar to a vegetable CSA, members pay in advance for a certain number of bouquets or arrangements that you will receive throughout the growing season.
02. WHY JOIN A FLOWER CSA ?
Support local agriculture
CSA Members come together to support small, locally owned farms, participate in local agriculture, help preserve and protect farmland and open space, and in general support local economies and small business. When you purchase a “share” of the flower harvest produced on our farm, we use these funds to cover the cost of growing and harvesting the flowers, which are then distributed to you on a weekly schedule.

In addition to supporting the local economy & promoting sustainable agriculture, our Flower CSA also provides our members with an offering of rare, unique and ever-changing selections of fresh flowers you can’t find anywhere else.

ABOUT your flowers
Your CSA bouquets will include a generous selection of flowers, foliage, herbs and foraged bits from our farm, harvested at the peak of their bloom during their respective season and thoughtfully arranged.
Flowers will be harvested within 1-2 days prior to weekly pick up, to ensure the freshest quality, longest vase life and most abundant variety of blooms.
Flowers will be delivered to the CSA Pick up locations wrapped in paper and a compostable hydrator so you don’t have to worry about dripping all over on your way home, and they will stay fresh for hours out of water.

Start dates are approximate for each CSA offering. Because weather plays a crucial role in harvest times, we cannot guarantee an exact start. As we get closer to the spring and summer, you will receive an email notification with the exact start date of your share. Please make sure to add our email (hello@veritasflora.com) to your contacts list to prevent our newsletter from being caught in your SPAM folder. Each CSA has multiple pick up locations options that you can choose. Once you sign up for a particular location, you will be picking up from that same location every week.
Once the CSA has started, we will send out weekly reminders 2 days prior to your pick up date! -
Yes! Each week, we send you a reminder for your weekly flower pick up 2 day prior to your pick up date. Included in the reminder email will be an offer to add additional flowers at 15% off the CSA bouquet flower price. This is offered only to CSA customers.

Each CSA includes seasonal flowers, which means you can expect to receive our freshest and best quality of what we have to offer that week from the farm. Generally in May, you can expect to receive mostly (if not all) ranunculus, poppies, daffodils, and a few early treasures. In June, you can expect mixed bouquets of early perennials, sweet peas, campanula, snapdragons, scented stock, and more! Throughout the summer you will receive curated bouquets of all the most elegant and beautiful blooms we have to offer. In September, you can expect the Diva of all Flowers = Dahlias. No matter what season, you’ll get the most beautiful, farm-fresh blooms.

Unfortunately we cannot accommodate re-scheduling of missed pick-ups due to the carefully planned nature of our CSA distribution. If you need to miss a pick up, we highly suggest you have a friend pick it up for you (friends love being gifted flowers!), or you will have to forfeit your share for that week and we will donate it to the sweet folks running the pick up location. We strongly recommend sending a friend or family member to grab your flowers, it will brighten their entire week! Gifting flowers is THE BEST!

You can purchase a flower CSA share through our online shop if they are available for purchase.

Simply fill out the gift prompt during the checkout process, as you add a flower CSA to your online shopping cart. We will need the recipients email and phone number, but don’t worry, we won’t ruin the surprise! We will not email any notifications until about two weeks before the start of the flower CSA. You will receive a link to a printable gift notification PDF with your email receipt that you can send to the gift recipient.

We understand that emergencies happen. In the event that you cannot make your pick-up, it is up to each of our partner locations' discretion as to whether your share can be held overnight. Please keep in mind that our partners have volunteered their spaces to host our CSA pick-ups and they will not be responsible for keeping shares overnight. All shares for on-farm pick up will be held for 24 hours if notified in advanced by email.

You can come visit the farm for pick up on the designated delivery day only if you choose that option for your pick up location. We will be having special events coming up and as a perk of being a CSA subscription member, we will give you first dibs access to any and all events on the farm!
